Description

OVERVIEW 

The Community Foundation of Jackson Hole supports local nonprofits seeking professional development opportunities that will strengthen their organizational knowledge, skills, and capacity. As a complement to our workshop offering, nonprofits based in and serving Teton County, Wyoming may apply for up to $700 once per calendar year to help offset professional development and continuing education expenses.  

Eligible expenses include:  

registration fees for online or in-person trainings, workshops, or conferences 

travel, accommodations and food related to out-of-town trainings 

fees for 1:1 or team coaching or consulting

educational materials and resources 

Professional development work must be scheduled to occur within the next 9 months. Please apply later for work more than 9 months out. 

Ineligible expense: trade organization memberships

TIMELINE 

Application periods: January-February, April-May, July-August, October-November 

Review periods: March, June, September, December 

Response period: mid March, mid June, mid September, mid December 

Grant checks mailed for funded applications: end of March, June, September, December 

Note: Fund­ing for this pilot grants pro­gram is lim­it­ed and may be exhaust­ed pri­or to the end of the cal­en­dar year.

ELIGIBILITY 

Applicant must be a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, government entity, or other IRS-recognized charitable organization based in and serving Teton County, Wyoming OR be fiscally-sponsored by an entity that meets these requirements. `

Funds may not be used for debt retirement or religious or political activities. 

Applicant's work must not be primarily focused on influencing legislation. 

Grant funds may not be used for a project or training that has already been completed. 

ADDITIONAL FUNDING SOURCES 

Teton County nonprofits are also encouraged to apply for Wyoming Department of Workforce Service Business Training Grants. Up to $2,000 per trainee or $75,000 per organization is available per state fiscal year. Click here for a DWS program overview and here for details and rules.
